Cadstar 15 has now arrived at Vital Sines and we have done our first couple of designs with it. I like it, it seems to run nice and quickly and the menus feel a lot slicker and easier to access. As you can see from the screen shot below they have taken a very deliberate Windows Office direction with the top ribbon design.
Access to net, component and template data is now very quick and this all helps productivity. Clearer formatting of reports makes final reviews and checking much easier.
All in all a nice step forward for Cadstar. I will be testing out the Duplicate Channel Placement shortly to see if any improvements have been made here.
Now if they could just sort out the 3D modelling interface without it being an expensive cost option...
